And finally, NEWS: I have the privilege of illustrating the cover for the fifth issue of Boston Comics Roundtable's Inbound! This one is going to be a doozy, the thickest issue to date with a dizzyingly talented group of contributors. It's slated to be printed in time for MICE: Massachusetts Independent Comics Expo on September 25th, where I'll be sitting at the AIB alumni table touting my wares.

Don't forget the Teeny Tiny Art Show VII opening next Friday, September 3rd, which promises to be everything but teeny-tiny!

Pococurastination

At the eleventh hour, I finished the remaining six pieces for the Teeny Tiny Show 7! There are nine total, my selection of surly, unhappy characters from Candide. Above you'll see one of my favorites, depicting the disgustingly rich and bored Pococurante; below is the unfortunate chambermaid-turned-prostitute, Paquette.

Maybe I'll show you the rest later, or maybe you'll just have to come to the show!

Bopping Along

Teeny Tiny things on my messy drawing table! These three are the products of a lot of trial and error, because I didn't quite realize just how tiny 2"x3" really is. (Although I've drawn way smaller for comics, but the mindset for comics is kind of different, you know?) It seems I take the Teeny Tiny shows as opportunities to try new things and get a little more painterly. There's colored pencil, ink, watercolor, and guache on each of these little guys. More to come!
