Triple Diptychs

My scanner is on the fritz, sorry for the second week of no illos. If Matt can fix it before next Tuesday I'll post again with what I'm working on.

What am I working on? The 10,000 Project, in which [spoiler alert!] I'll be illustrating the word "chair." The end product will be three diptychs, depicting pirates, WWI soldiers, and cowgirls (and chairs, of course). Below is one of my reference photos, gleaned from Corbis:
