A Life of Loud Desperation

Please stop what you're doing right this moment and read this speech by Bill Watterson. I was devastated when Calvin and Hobbes ended its run and many years later I still ache for its art and wit, something the comics section of the newspaper is severely lacking nowadays. Like his strip, Watterson's speech is thoughtful, eloquent and true. I've typed and re-typed an attempted description of it and I simply can't do it. Hopefully it's suffice to say that I have a lot to think about, in a good way.

You're still here? Go read it already!
